When looking for essential oils and carrier oils, you want to find 100% pure and organic. Make sure the only ingredient is the oil itself, no additives, no perfume, and that it is not diluted. Essential oils and carrier oils have a variety of benefits. All essential oils should be diluted with a carrier oil if used topically. Make sure to do your own thorough research before use.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oil is the liquid produced in the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis plant.
Jojoba oil has anti-inflammatory properties, so it helps to reduce and ease the effects of rosacea, eczema, acne, and psoriasis. It also helps with skin repair and hair health. I use Cliganic because their products are USDA certified organic, NON-GMO verified, and cruelty-free.
Castor Oil
Castor oil comes from the seeds of the castor plant (Ricinus communis). Castor oil usage dates back to ancient Egypt, where it was used for medicinal purposes as well as fuel for lamps. Castor oil is a good moisturizer, anti-inflammatory, helps with acne, disinfects wounds, helps with wrinkles, great for hair health, promotes hair growth, is antibacterial and antifungal, has laxative properties, boosts circulation, helps soothe dandruff, boosts immune function, and much more. Castor oil has a low comedogenic score, but it is not non-comedogenic, so it still has the ability to clog pores. Just be cautious with it.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) comes from the leaves of the tea tree. The oil has been commonly used as an antiseptic (germ killer). It is used to treat acne, athlete's foot, lice, nail fungus, insect bites, and dandruff. Tea tree oil is also used in aromatherapy, which can help support and boost the immune system's health and fight infections. Make sure if applied topically you use a carrier oil.
Frankincense Oil
Frankincense (olibanum) is a hardened gum-like material that comes from the trunk of the Boswellia tree. It is used topically and in aromatherapy. Frankincense oil is antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory. It helps with stress, hormonal balance, digestion, improves memory, respiratory health, reduces arthritic symptoms, anti-aging, acne, stretch marks, skin rejuvenation, promotes sleep, and so much more! Make sure if applied topically you use a carrier oil. https://amzn.to/3YZgLju
